2 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0016- Communications & CCTV Circuits Under the 2026 NEC (Chapter 8); Chapter 8 lost its long-standing independence in 2026, and this class explains what that means on the job: premises cabling now under 722 and 723, protection under 742, entrance cables and the 50-foot rule, primary protectors, grounding, and lightning separation for camera and communications work. This class is also appropriate for the Registered Unlicensed Technician (RT/RE).  This class meets the State requirement for Code hours.

2 CEU Hours - CRSE2608-0015Power-and-Data Cabling: PoE, LP Cables & Bundling Under 722.140; The ampacity tables behind every PoE camera you hang: bundle sizes, temperature corrections, the 0.3-amp exception, LP cables and their markings, and an introduction to the new Class 4 fault-managed power systems.  This class meets the State requirement for Code hours.

4 CEU Hours - Video Surveillance Systems: Design, Installation & Field Practices; This 4-hour course builds a surveillance system that holds up: cameras, lenses, and imaging fundamentals in the first half — recording, networks, and installation craft in the second. Coverage design, light and darkness, storage math, and the field habits that keep video usable when it matters.

This course is designed for Power Limited Technicians (PLT), Registered Unlicensed RT/RE, and other licensed electrical professionals who install, maintain, inspect, or design low-voltage and limited-energy systems.  This class meets the State requirement for Technical hours.

2 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0019Class 2/3 Circuits Under the Restructured 2026 NEC; The 2026 NEC broke up the old Class 2/3 world — power sources now live in Article 721, cables in Article 722, raceways in Article 723, with Article 725 holding the definitions. This class walks the new structure with the security installer in mind, so you know exactly where every rule you use moved to. This class is also appropriate for the Registered Unlicensed Technician (RT/RE).  This class meets the State requirement for Code hours.

2 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0018Wiring Methods & Separation Rules for Security Circuits; Keeping low-voltage legal: separation from power circuits, conductor sizing and overcurrent protection under the restructured Article 722, and the securing-and-supporting rules from Chapter 3 that inspectors check first on security wiring.  This class meets the State requirement for Code hours.

4 CEU Hours - CRSE2608-0017Burglar Alarm System Design, Installation & Field Practices; This 4-hour course covers the whole burglar alarm system from the risk walk to the final walk test: control panels, zone circuits and end-of-line supervision, contacts, motion and glassbreak detection, wireless done honestly, keypads, communicators, programming against false alarms, and troubleshooting from a known baseline — plus the Minnesota license and municipal alarm ordinances that stand behind every job.

This course is designed for Power Limited Technicians (PLT), Registered Unlicensed RT/RE, and other licensed electrical professionals who install, maintain, inspect, or design low-voltage and limited-energy systems.  This class meets the State requirement for Technical hours.

2 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0021- The Numbers Behind the Code: Ohm’s Law, Power Limits & Low-Voltage Circuits; Every number in the code is physics wearing a safety margin. This class connects Ohm’s law to the Chapter 9 tables: the 100-VA ceiling, cable ampacity, voltage drop, and why the 2026 limits are exactly what they are. This class is also appropriate for the Registered Unlicensed Technician (RT/RE).  This class meets the State requirement for Code hours.

2 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0047- Electricity from the Ground Up: Voltage, Current, Ohm’s Law & Series-Parallel Circuits; The foundation class: what voltage, current, and resistance really are, and how series and parallel circuits behave — taught for the field, with worked examples from the systems PLTs actually install.  This class meets the State requirement for Technical hours

4 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0020The Multimeter & the Modern Circuit: Measurement, Troubleshooting & Technology Advancements; This 4-hour course turns the multimeter into a method: measuring voltage, current, resistance, and continuity safely and knowing what each reading means, then troubleshooting circuits with discipline instead of guesswork. The final section looks ahead at the technology wave heading for the trade and what it means for the work.

This course is designed for Power Limited Technicians (PLT), Registered Unlicensed RT/RE, and other licensed electrical professionals who install, maintain, inspect, or design low-voltage and limited-energy systems.  This class meets the State requirement for Technical hours.
