4 CEU Hours - Video Surveillance Systems: Design, Installation & Field Practices; This 4-hour course builds a surveillance system that holds up: cameras, lenses, and imaging fundamentals in the first half — recording, networks, and installation craft in the second. 4 CEU Hours - CRSE2608-0017- Burglar Alarm System Design, Installation & Field Practices; This 4-hour course covers the whole burglar alarm system from the risk walk to the final walk test: control panels, zone circuits and end-of-line supervision, contacts, motion and glassbreak detection, wireless done honestly, keypads, communicators, programming against false alarms, and troubleshooting from a known baseline — plus the Minnesota license and municipal alarm ordinances that stand behind every job.

Pre-registration is required.  Each class will be limited to 25 registrants.  PLT Services will not be responsible for cancelled classes or other changes due to low registration, sign up early!

4 full days - STUDENTS NEED TO PROVIDE 

• • • Their own 2026 NEC Code Book on the FIRST DAY OF CLASS 
    • Highlighters (two different colors)
    • Notebook, notepad or notepaper;
    • Pens and pencils
    • Basic 4-Function Calculator (not your cell phone please)

•         State test is based on the 2026 NEC Code Book (Starting July 1st, 2026)
•         Pre-registration is required:  class will be limited to 25 registrants, so register early.

4 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0023- Fire Alarm System Design, Installation & Field Practices; This 4-hour course takes the fire alarm system from panel to proof: FACPs, initiating and notification circuits, supervision, survivability, notification math that actually works in the building, and preparing for acceptance testing with the fire AHJ — including the NFPA 72 documentation that closes the job out clean.

4 CEU Hours -CRSE2608-0020- The Multimeter & the Modern Circuit: Measurement, Troubleshooting & Technology Advancements; This 4-hour course turns the multimeter into a method: measuring voltage, current, resistance, and continuity safely and knowing what each reading means, then troubleshooting circuits with discipline instead of guesswork. The final section looks ahead at the technology wave heading for the trade and what it means for the work.
